Choose Honey, Lemon or milk
Sandwiches
Choose Sliced Bread or Croissants
Choose 2 Ham, Chicken, Cheese, Egg, Tuna
Choose up to 3 for Sandwiches Mayo, Sweet Pickle, Relish, Mustard, Cucumber, Hummus, Dill Pickle
Fruit
Each guest is served with a small bowl of seasonal fruit
Cakes
Victoria Sandwich Cake
Cake with jam and cream in the middle. This was named after Queen Victoria as she enjoyed a slice every day with her tea.
Scones
Scones originated in Scotland in the 1500’s where they were served for breakfast, they became fashionable in England in 1840, when introduced by Anna the Dutchess of Bedford. They were served with jam butter and cream.
Shortbread
Shortbread originated from Scotland possibly as early as the 1200’'s popularity is often attributed to Mary Queen of Scots.
Fairy or Butterfly Cakes
Originated in the 1700’s and is a smaller more delicate version of the American Cup Cake. The cake has wings (representing a butterfly) cut out of the top and dipped in frosting. These cakes are very popular today at children’s birthday parties in England,
Meringues
Were first made in Switzerland in the 16th century. Later they were made for Princess Maria in France. They were introduced to England and were loved so much by Queen Elizabeth the 1st she named them “Kiss”.
